Camera Coaster makes second run in Bisbee

At 11 a.m. on Sept. 5, 2009, Bisbee’s Rolling Arts Transport Society was back on the streets of Bisbee as part of Brewery Gulch Daze.

Ann Widmann debuted her camera coaster July Fourth as she coasted down Main Street in Old Bisbee from Castle Rock to Grassy Park. She accompanied about 14 art coasters in the first BRATS parade. This time she will join them as they head down the Gulch from Mimosa Market
and Park them near the Stock Exchange at the foot of the Gulch.

On Saturday night (Sept. 4, 2009) from 5-9 p.m., several BRATS also had their art coasters on display at the street dance in front of Atalanta’s Records and Books in Old Bisbee.

Widmann has written a children's book, BRATS on Main Street, about the Bisbee art coasters, which was published in Aug. 2011 and is available both at Atalanta's and on amazon.com. You can also purchase a copy from the author by contacting her by email at ann@az-image-is.com, phone: 520-432-5174 or mail: Ann Widmann, 611 W. Vista St. Bisbee, AZ 85603.

Bisbee Artists, Andrew Nelson and Poe Dismuke spawned the idea for BRATS art coasters and have been working for several years to get this event "rolling." Every Fourth of July and Labor Day weekend new coasters parade through Bisbee's downtown area.
